These beautiful little cockles are harvested from Galicia, Spain and are one of the most sought after molluscs from the sandbanks of the Galician rivers. They are small, firm in texture and taste of the sea. They are also both high in calcium and iron.
To serve, open the can and drain the brine a bit. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and serve directly in the can with a few forks. Delicious!
