Meet Tinmonger’s Naked Sardines: a very special addition to Spanish Pig, created by our Canadian sister company and prepared in Galicia, Spain. This is a product close to our hearts, bringing our love of exceptional Spanish conservas into a tin that carries the Tinmonger name.
The name tells you what makes them different. Each sardine is carefully skinned and deboned by hand before being placed in olive oil. That patient preparation leaves tender, skinless, boneless sardines, ready to enjoy the moment you open the tin. It is skilled work that makes something beautifully simple feel special.
Expect delicate flesh, a savoury flavour and the rounded richness of olive oil. With the skin and bones removed, these sardines are especially easy to serve, whether you already love tinned fish or are discovering just how good Spanish conservas can be. The fish takes centre stage, with olive oil providing a gentle accompaniment.
Enjoy them straight from the tin with crusty bread, or lay them over warm toast with ripe tomato and a squeeze of lemon. They are equally lovely with a salad of white beans and parsley, alongside roasted peppers, or served with warm potatoes. For an effortless aperitivo, add olives, good crackers and a chilled glass of Albariño.
Produced in Spain and packaged for the Canadian market under Tinmonger’s own label, Naked Sardines bring together Spanish preparation and Canadian identity. As Tinmonger’s sister company, Spanish Pig is particularly proud to share them: a personal project, carefully developed, and one of the most meaningful tins we have added to our shelves.
